The 2026 US Student Wellbeing Survey examines the current state of student wellbeing in the US through the lens of students' opinions on AI and learning, connection to others, study stress, and more. This study puts student voices first and identifies areas of opportunity for administrators.

The survey ran from 20 October - 22 November 2025 and gained 3,054 responses from US students, with 327 US post-secondary institutions represented. The sample frame was balanced to ensure representation of gender, level of studies completed, and geography in proportion to their overall share of the US postsecondary student population, so the results are representative of the population in relation to the the target group of US students 18+.

The report is divided in chapters, outlined below:

  • Chapter 1: AI and Wellbeing
  • Chapter 2: Study Stress
  • Chapter 3: Student Experience
